We connect, engage, and help find resources through a national canine community-based network. We gather resources through peer-to-peer sharing, raising, and disbursing critical funds, referrals, crisis support, and lots of LOVE.

Our History
My family went through one of the more excruciating experiences of our lives – the euthanasia of our beloved dog, Ella. It happened during COVID lockdown. Ella was only three but was diagnosed with (IVDD) Intervertebral Disc Disease. Our vet told us due to the restrictions we were not able go in to the clinic but we refused to have her go through it alone. Our vet met us outside and we held her under a tree as she took her last breath – she flashed me a look that was an endearing blend of confusion and the reassurance that everyone was going to be okay. When people who have never had a dog see their dog-owning friends mourn the loss of a pet, they probably think it’s all a bit of an overreaction; after all, it’s “just a dog”. However, those who have loved a dog know the truth: Your pet is never “just a dog.” The only thing worse than making the decision to euthanize your beloved dog is having to decide to do it because it is the only affordable choice. Please help us give pet owners more choices; sponsor a dog, rescue a dog, give your time and advocate for those without a voice.
